Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 August 2026
KG Convenience ("we", "us", "our") provides removal and moving services across South Africa. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website and booking process, why we collect it, and how we protect it, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
1. Information we collect
When you create an account, request a quote, or make a booking, we may collect:
- Your name, email address, and phone number
- Pickup and drop-off addresses for your move
- Details about your move (home size, items, moving date, special instructions)
- Photos of items you choose to upload as part of a booking
- Payment information processed on our behalf by our payment provider, Yoco — we never see or store your full card details ourselves
- Basic account and login information, managed on our behalf by our database provider, Supabase
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Generate accurate quotes and process bookings
- Coordinate your move with our team and drivers
- Process deposit, full, or split payments
- Communicate with you about your booking, including via email or WhatsApp
- Improve our services and respond to reviews or feedback you choose to leave
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Who we share information with
We share limited information with the service providers who help us run KG Convenience:
- Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and booking records
- Yoco — processes card payments securely; we do not store your card number or CVV
- Netlify — hosts our website
If you use our "split the payment" feature, the name and contact details you provide for the people you're splitting with are used solely to generate their payment link and are visible to our admin team for booking coordination.
4. Data retention
We retain booking and account information for as long as your account is active, and afterwards for as long as reasonably necessary to meet legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution requirements.
5. Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to:
- Ask us what personal information we hold about you
- Request that we correct inaccurate information
- Request that we delete your information, subject to any legal obligations we have to retain it
- Object to how we process your information
To exercise any of these rights, please email us at info@kgconvenience.com.
6. Cookies
Our website uses only the minimal technical storage needed to keep you logged in and remember your session. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
